Hello,
I'll try and make this short. I cleared CMOS today. Afterwards I tried booting up the PC and while after the CMOS clear it no longer turns itself off (yay 😀), my display gets no signal. My motherboard is MSI x99a, which I think does not have an integrated graphics unit, meaning that I'm okay plugging displays into the graphics card (Gtx 980 ti) ports. I've tried switching between HDMI and DVI-I ports on two different monitors to no avail. My guess is that the default port for the graphics card is one of the three DisplayPorts, and not HDMI or DVI-I. The problem is my monitors don't have the DisplayPort. Is there anything I overlooked or do I really have to get a monitor with a DisplayPort in order to boot the damn BIOS settings after CMOS clear?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and answer :)
