Hello guys, i have the following problem:
Recently i bought another stick of ram same model with my previous one and after installing it the computer starts but there's no signal to the monitor.
My mobo has only 2 ram slots.
I tried:
- Running only 1 stick at a time - both sticks work when installed alone.
- Adding 0.05 voltage and higher to the ram still no change
- Reseating cpu and cpu cooler - nothing changed
- Running only 1 stick at a time but in the second slot - same issue, no signal
I will try to clear cmos to see what happens after i come from school.

My PC specs:
Mobo - MSI H81 P33
Cpu - i5 4460
Ram - 4gb hyperx fury blue 1600mhz and i bought a second one same model
Gpu - gtx 1060 3gb

EDIT: I reseted cmos but still the isue persists. I also cleaned the ram slots but still no change

Assuming you've installed both RAM modules into the correct DIMM slots, it's likely that due to the modules not being in a dual channel kit together that they aren't identical modules thus are stopping your PC from POSTing

Thank you for your answers. Why wouldn't just 1 stick of ram work in the second slot? Probably i will end up returning the stick and selling my old to get a kit. I will try my sticks on a friend's computer tomorrow and i'll be back.

The motherboard detects the ram being there since there are no beeping sounds. I also checked and they are compatible.
On my old PC when this problem happend or the usbs weren't working it was just a matter of cleaning the slot. I will try tomorow at my friends pc to see if they work and if they do i will either try going at a local pc repair shop or sending the mobo directly in guarantee.
I've tried all the solutions i found on forums and nothing seems to work.
