Hi all,
Starting to give myself an ulcer over this and would really love some input.
(Warning: Noob alert)
I've been getting into 3D rendering lately and thought I would give myself a pretty beefy upgrade from a GTX660 to a 1070. I just finished a long move with my PC in the car and was waiting until I got settled in to install it.
Now I must admit that before the replacement I booted everything up and the display didn't work desptie working fine before the move. I should have started my troubleshooting right there but instead took it as a sign that it was time to change my card since it was already on hand. Of course afterwards the display still didn't work.
Now everything seems fine. The fans are all working and everything is glowing including the 1070. It's fans stop after a minute or two; but I assume thats because nothing graphic intensive is happening. I've gone through every display function with no luck. Reset the CMOS battery as well
I've tried the integrated graphics (without GPU) and it does not work either but I honestly don't recall it ever working. I assume its because its designated to PCI and I never once tried without the GPU.
Edit: Put the old card back in; still nothing.
Here's my specs:
MSI Z87-G41 PC MATE 1150
ASUS GTX660 swapped to 1070
INTEL CORE I5-4670K
I appreciate any help I can get.
Edit: Apparently the mouse is getting power but the keyboard isn't (swapped multiple keyboards)
