I recently bought a new motherboard and CPU. After plugging everything back in I'm not getting signal to my monitor nor keyboard and mouse. I've tried pulling the ram and only using one at a time. Checked and rechecked all cables and components are seated properly.

Old mobo: asus prime z270-p
New mobo: asus maximus xii hero
Old cpu: intel i5 7600k
New cpu: intel i7 10700k
Gpu: EVGA gtx 1070

And I apologise if I don't respond for quite a few hours but any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

With only the (new)motherboard, ram and CPU, connect to PSU and see if your get it to POST. You will still need to reinstall your OS due to the change in platform.

Fully unplugged the gpu and still no signal through the motherboard hdmi port. Nor any lights on my keyboard and mouse when plugged into any of the usb slots on the rear io

Figured it out with friends assistance. New motherboard had an extra 8pin power plug that old board didn't use. I saw it and assumed it was for like water cooler power.
