Biostar h61mlv 7.0
I3-2120 upgraded to i7-2600
8gb ram
500w

I tried :
  • Resetting cmos
  • Reseating ram
  • Using another psu (still the same)
  • Changed back to i3-2120 and now its broken too, no display even with original i3-2120 ?

Solution
Check the CPU. Take it out and check the pins. If there's no signal on monitor it might mean that you bent pins when inserting the CPU. This happened to me too in the past.
My suspicion is that in the process of inserting the new cpu, you bent a motherboard socket pin.
It is all too easy to do if you did not drop the cpu in cleanly and had to smoosh it around to seat it.

Take the cpu out and look closely at the pins.
You might be able to straighten them out with a needle.

Failing that, you will need to replace the motherboard.
