no display cable but hdmi to display and display to hdmi adapter

alright, so. i recently got me a new monitor that has VGA, DVI, and Display. my graphics card has DVI (something. believe I but that doesnt matter) HDMI, and Display. it doesnt seem like a problem except i dont have a display cable nor do i have a DVI cable. i do however have a HDMI to Display cable and adapter. (also have HDMI to VGA adapter but have 2nd monitor that only uses VGA.... so yea.) i tried multiple combinations and they do not want to work. tried (GPU>adapter>cable> monitor) (GPU >cbl>adp>mon) (GPU>adp>elgato>cbl>mon) even tried to to just use adpater and cable separately and that didnt work. WHAT DO I DO?!

Buy a DVI cable. For dp to vga or hdmi, you'd need an active adapter.

The first one should work, with a HDMI to HDMI cable (not HDMi to DP). However, I suggest testing a DVI cable too.

they both work idiviually but, im trying to dasiy chain them together to make a display cable. and i dont have a dvi cable. if i have to buy a cable, it will be display

You can't daisy chain them like that. HDMI to DP does not work via simple cable.
