i have just attempted to build my first pc and i believe i have done everything right, everything lights up showing they have power but there is no display coming up on the screen. I would appreciate any type of help.
i have used both hdmi and displayport cable, and have also used a working set of hdmi cables but it is still not working. And no i don't have any other system to test it on unfortunatelywhat cable are you using to connect to the monitor? is that cable connected to the graphics card? have you tried different cables? do you have another display to test?
i'm using an add on card and have also tried using just the integrated graphics but none seemed to workIntegrated graphics or add on card? But check all cables and connnections. Reseat the graphics card if it's an addon.

intel i7 7700k, 32GB ram, geforce gtx 1060, 1Tb ssd, 450watt psu...is that all you need to know?Well then you have a serious problem.... or something is not seated correctly or a jumper is not in the right place. Please post your system specifications.
thanks!! finally got it workingi got this from youtube
- shut down your pc
- switch your power supply to off
- unplug psu from wall
- while using something like an anti static strap , find and pull out the cmos battery. it should be like a 3v watch battery
- hold your power button in for 15 seconds , this clears and the current still in your components
- insert cmos battery back
- plug psu into wall
- turn on your pc
- you will get a message saying everything has been reset to default.
- hit the key it tells you to continue
- done
