I was playing Overwatch, when my display suddenly cuts and a burning smell starts coming from my PC. It seems to be coming from my GPU and when I try rebooting, there is no display even the the GPU fans are running.

I can't see any visible burns.
I tried dusting out the GPU.
I rebooted with intel graphics to see if anything else was damaged, it runs fine.

Build:
MSI Z97 MOTHERBOARD
Intel core i7
Thermaltak 850W 80gold
Nvidia gtx 980 4 gb
Ripjaws 16gb Ddr3

Please help, I really don't know why my Gpu is not displaying anything.

Sorry was reading two things at once

OP sorry to hear about the GPU is this still under warranty?

No I don't have anywhere else to test it on.
My PSU is a Thermaltake Toughpower PS-TPD-0850MPCGUS-1 850W Intel ATX 12V V2.3 & EPS 12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

I'm about to call now, it's been only 2 years so I'm still under warranty.

My PSU blew up the other week and it scared me so much just hope that they replace the GPU for you and you be back playing the game!.
