Question No display from GPU, nor IGPU

So, yesterday i was changing my gpus, i was about to change from my GTX1060(connected directly to monitor), to my gtx 1070

Because i knew the 1070 doesn't display anything anyways, i wanted to connected and run my IGPU, while the GPU could hopefully process games(i really just wanted to see if it was completly dead or not).

So what happend was that i connected my 1070, but forgot to change to IGPU in BIOS. So i quickly removed it, and i kindof scraped my motherboard (even tho i cant see any damage, so i dont think thats the problem), I put my 1060 back in, and plugged my 8 pin power cable half way so i wouldnt have to pull it out aggain(which is a pain in the xxx). And it worked just fine. After that i put the gtx 1070 back in, connected my hdmi to the mobo. And out of nowhere my monitor says "entering power saving mode" every single time i try turning it on.

What i have done to try to fix it:

- Reset CMOS
-Ran my 1060 with it
-Ran my 770 with it
-Connected hdmi to MOBO
-Cleaned ram, and tried the different slots
-Changed monitors

BUT NOTHING WORKS

Remember i am running an overclocked (4,4ghz) i5 4670k, but idont really think it could be dead. It is too big of a coincidence.

brand and model of the psu?
motherboard?

my guess is you burn the psu
Mobo: asus B85m-g
PSU: XFX PRO 550W (it is very old, says smth abt 80 plus bronze on it)

If it is the psu, why do all my fans spin then? I also hear my hdd spin just like normaly.

Idk if it is any help, about about a year ago when i was running my gtx 770(which is recomended with a 550w psu) , from time to time i could smell smth burnt around my pc. Other than that, never had any noticable problems.

And about the mobo, there is a green light that is on, like before. So i don't thinl my mobo is dead.

I forgot to add that after reseting CMOS, my pc would power on, run for abt 8secs before turning off and on aggain, but after that it doesn't happend again unless i reset the CMOS again.

After changing i tested if the igpu worked, while my gtx 1060 was in the pc, and it worked, and i turned the pc off b4 it got past the asus logo. Then i changed to the 1070, but out of nowhere it wouldn't displax anymore, doesn't display on igpu nor gpu.

What i havw tried:
-reseting CMOS(held it outside the mobo for over an hour)
-tried my gtx 1060 and 770 on the pc(i connected them directly to the monitor too)
-switched two psu's
-changed monitors

NO MATTER WHAT I DO, MY MONITOR SAY "POWER SAVING MODE"

My specs:
asus b85m-g
I5-4670k (oc to 4.4ghz)
Gtx 1060
500w psu (that's the one i was using b4 the problem)

Do *not* start multiple threads for the same problem. Threads have been merged.

Instead, be *detailed* and *specific*. Still only know what one of the PSUs are and the timeline is very confusing.

And a whole lot can have happened; why would you awkwardly put in a power connector halfway?

What 750W one?

Maybe someone else can make sense of this, but I'm extremely confused by what you did and when and with what at this point.
I put the connector half way cuz it's hard to pull it out.

And for the 750w psu, that's the psu i got in my other pc.

Alr i will try to explain what happend as straight as i can

First let me explain what the deal is with my gtx 1070, cuz it is kindof complicated. My 1070 dpes not output any display, but i was hoping i could run my pc with the IGPU for the display output, but only run games with the 1070, because i hoped that the 1070 just had a broken hdmi port, and that it could still be used for gaming.

Now this is what happend:

1. Gtx 1060 was removed from the pc, and the 1070 was inserted.

2. Because i forgot to change my output to IGPU before inserting the 1070, i changed back to the 1060.

3. I connected the 1060 8pin power cable just half way, until the light indicator on the card turned from red, to white, which indicated the card was getting power.

4. I proceeded to turn on IGPU in BIOS, and saved the settings.

5. In order to check that the IGPU worked, i connected my HDMI to the motherboard, and it posted.

6. I turned off my pc right before my pc was about to start windows.

7. I removed the 1060

8. I put the gtx 1070 back in the pc, and from that moment on, my pc stopped outputing display.

How my pc is acting both before and after all the fixes(sry for bad english) : What is happening is that the fans spin, the lights on my gpu are working, the green light motherboard has a steady green light as ussual(when the pc was working normaly). Everything works as usual, except the fact that the pc does not output display.

What i have tried to fix (timeline):

1. Tried to boot with two different gpu's, the gtx 770, and the 1060

2. I checked if the monitor worked connected to HDMI, with my brothers laptop, and it did.

3. I changed monitors

4. I reset the CMOS, and tried with both my e gtx 770, and 1060 again, to see if it changed anything

5. Because it was sugested that my PSU was fried, i removed the old one and connected a 250w HP-P3527F3P PSU which had 20 pins instead of the 24 my mobo needs. The fans spin as ussual, the lights turn on but nothing

6. I also tried a 300w PSU, which i don't know the name of.

None of these have changed anything.

My setup at the moment my pc started
malfunctioning:
CPU: I5-4670k (overclocked to 4.4ghz)
Gpu gtx 1060
PSU: XFX PRO 550W
Motherboard: asus B85m-g

did you unplug the power when you working on the pc(removing and putting in gpu)
my guess would be the mobo.
I didn't unplug anaything when changing gpus.

But i am just really confused bc, how could it have had siplay as usual with IGPU, but wouldn't just moments after i installed the gtx 1070? It just does not make any sense.
