no display,gpu not detected

hy everyone
i just bought an asus gtx 660 direct cu ii and it won't work with my motherboard P5G41T-M LX
specs
q6600 2.40GHZ
4 gb ram ddr3
psu 500 w 12v(1)=22a 12v(2)=22a
THE motherboard won't detect the gpu it goes straight to the integrated graphique

Was it a used card? Did you test it before buying it? Check for a newer BIOS for the motherboard. The power supply seems to have enough power to run the card. All power connections in the card?

Did you plug the video cable into the video card? It can only use the integrated graphics if the video cable is connected to the motherboard.
