Hello,

I truly am sorry to add to the pile of threads about this, but i am at my wits end on this first build.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/JoshuaAnderson/saved/V2fCbv

When i first powered on, i got a single beep on the vga, then 5 beeps.

So, i removed 3 sticks of ram, the graphic card and tried again.

This time i got 1 beep, but nothing else.

so I have gone through your POST fixing advice, made double sure my motherboard and cpu worked together. Checked the cpu, the cooler, the ram, i am quite lost.

I reinstalled the gpu. It lights up beautiful, spins. But still no display.

I have led lights on the motherboard and a test speaker, but...i don't know how to progress.

Tl:dr - post beep once, then 5 times.
Stripped, Now only beeping once.
Cpu fans turn on, but not case fans.

Solution

No disadvantage, at contrary.
When graphics card installed, the onboard video is automatically disabled, therefore you have to connect the monitor to the graphics card.
Clearly this https://ovo.fyi/fmovies/ "staff" person has no idea what there talking about. Ryzen takes advantage of memory and the difference between 2666 & 3200 could be as much as 10 FPS if not more. Go with the 3200mhz and enable AXMP in the BIOS to get it to run at the correct speeds. https://ovo.fyi/yesmovies/ If AXMP doesn't work then check to make sure the memory is placed in the correct slots (could be A1/B1 or A2/B2. https://ovo.fyi/solarmovie/
