No display,mouse and keyboard when the graphics card is installed

So i decided to mod my r9 290x with the arctic accelero iii i followed the steps(and guides) and i installed it now when i install the graphics card the pc will turn on,fans are spinning(the gpu one included)no beeping but the diplay,mouse and keyboard are not on.When it has intel hd everything is fine,did i ruin my gpu and if i did why does the mouse and keyboard not work?is it a mobo issue maybe because the graphics card was to heavy the 16x slot failed which is not reinforced because i have a cheap mobo.
Any thoughts?

You have a few issues, first you said the video card slot failed, did you crack it? Need some details about the full setup and what is happening and happened with it. Second you did the video card mod and yes you could have damaged the video card. Test your video card in another system with a known good power supply that can run it. If it works there, then you can start checking on the rest of the computer.

sorry for taking so long to reply but i put the old cooler back and everything was fine so something in the installation went wrong,i still cant understand why the mouse and keyboard were off though since it was only a gpu problem
