*no system speaker
Brand new build, everything new. Breadboarded bare minimum, but still nothing.
I have gone through the troubleshooting guide step by step several times. So please don't make me list out the steps that are already lined out in the sticky. But just in case..
1. Probed the psu pins (they all check out)
2. Each stick of ram in each slot
3. Cmos reset
4. Used dvi and vga cables (neuther worked)
And so on...
System specs:
Gigabyte Ga-z170-hd3
Intel g4600
Kingston hyperx fury 2x4gb
500w evga
And the others that are not installed at the moment because I can't even get the latter to POST are:
MSI rx470 gaming x
Soundblaster xfi sb0460
Seagate 1T sshd
I thought I narowed it down to either the PSU, MOBO, or RAM. Ordered new ones, just installed them all annnnnnd... same thing. The ONLY thing that hasn't changed from the first test to the second is the CPU. Unfortunately I do not have a system speaker.
I can't just leave the house to go get parts of any kind as I'm on home monitoring from court(please don't ask.. nothing crazy though). And I'm very frustrated at this point. This is not my first build, but have never had this much difficulty. My other builds have worked the first time no problem.
I'm afraid it might be the CPU, but that's pretty unlikely, as I've been told and researched. Please, any input would be helpful. If it is the CPU, then I'm gonna get the g4560 while it's in stock. lol
