I just finished building two pcs with identical specs. i5-9400F and an ASUS LGA1151 (300 Series).

I booted both computers on 3 different monitors with different cables. No luck.

I took out the battery on the motherboard and put it back in 10 mins later. No luck.

I switched the cpu cable around. No luck.

I switched the ram around. No luck.

I am assuming it is not posting because the bios on the motherboard is not updated, but not 100% on this. Is there a way to update the bios without switching the cpu to an 8th gen, because taking another pc apart is a hassle. Could i use a flash drive or cd?

Or maybe there is a different cause for this, but anyways thank you.

  • Discrete GPU Required - No Integrated Graphics on the 9400F
  • You need a GRAPHICS CARD
