No display on monitor after installing my PC

Well, I bought a ASRock Z87 about a year ago, and stopped production of my PC. I left it in a safe space and nothing ever touched the motherboard but I had installed it in the PC and left it for a year which probably isn't great. I just bought a second hand i5-4670k yesterday and installed it, and it was bought from a trusted seller so I doubt it would be dead, but it is a possibility.

I turned on my PC for the first time yesterday (No graphics card) and the fans work, the lights work, the optical drive works, but I am getting no output on any monitor I try (They have both been Sony Bravia TV's) I tried HDMI, I tried the standard PC cable (is it called VGA?) but nothing is getting an output and it is driving me insane as I spent about $1000 on this PC so far.

Here are some pictures http://i.imgur.com/C3SX99D.jpg http://i.imgur.com/f9eCYVa.jpg
I am a noob so I could've placed something wrong, or worse, my mobo could be dead but I don't think so because all the fans work and lights and all that. Please help I have asked everywhere :(

By the looks of it, you should have been given separate power cables, more specifically one for the CPU power. It looks like maybe you are using the wrong power cable for it and the separate cable that you should have, plugs into the bottom left part of the PSU labeled "PCI-E/CPU", and then back into the CPU power female port (it gets plugged in right above the CPU fan to the left, in the picture, the really long yellow wire to the left is plugged into it).

Make sure you GPU is Completely plugged into it's PCI-E 16 bus, they can be sensitive. Second, make sure your CPU power cable is plugged in, I could be wrong, but in the second picture, it looks like you still need to do this :). As for the GPU, if everything is setup properly, then is this GPU fan spinning and are it's power cable(s) plugged in?

Where do I plug the CPU part in? Also I don't have a GPU yet. Can you check first photo and see if I have plugged in the CPU yet? I thought that was to the top left of the fan? Thank you so much for the reply! Much appreciated!

The PSU you bought, it didn't come with any cables that weren't already built into the PSU itself? The cable you're holding in picture #2 (where you previously had it plugged in), does it have any label on it saying that it's for the CPU? I've never seen a CPU cable with an end that splits into two, I've only seen that with PCI-E cables. Maybe you mixed up the two cables (CPU and PCI-E) with the wrong hardware? Also, could I have the specs of your PSU?

The power supply is a 550w G-Series Seasonic . There are two cables that are hardwired from the powersupply, as I have included in this picture here ( http://i.imgur.com/VAmqhbh.jpg ) One of them goes to here http://i.imgur.com/wXJPzJF.jpg the other goes to this split cable thing http://i.imgur.com/0EK5YK0.jpgThe other ones I have plugged in are the SAT Cables for the Harddrives and Optical Drives but that is it. The cables to the CPU (which I presume is the CPU cords, but as you said you don't think that split cable is for the CPU) don't have any text on it like the others do, but there is a very faint thing on it that says "CST" and "TUV" but that is it and I don't think it is relevant at all.
I am so lost this is very frustrating me.

Oh, well after reviewing the type on PSU that is, I was thinking of something different. Plug that back in. I'm not sure if all computer cases come with them (mine did at least), but do you have a case speaker? If you do plug that in and try turning the computer on, it will give you a series of beeps to narrow down the issue. If you don't see one, search through your HDD Bays and hopefully it did give you one. So far, this looks like the motherboard is having an issue.

Also, try these steps:

1. Remove the CMOS battery, start up comp, shut down, put back in
2. Remove all but one stick of Memory
3. Go back and make sure the CPU is seated properly
4. Go back and really make sure every wire is Completely pushed in

Someone elsewhere said that it looked like I hadn't screwed down the motherboard properly, which I hope is the case because I went to a huge deal to try and find this obselete CPU as it was the only one functional with Z87. I ended up paying more then I would've for a 4690k
