Hi All,

I bought the following new components in order to upgrade my desktop to a Ryzen 2nd gen system.

Old Components:
Processor: AMD FX8320
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: G-Skill Ripjaws 8GBx2 (1366Mhz) DDR3
Monitor: LG Flatron E2041 (Max Res. 1600x900)

New Components:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700
Motherboard: MSI x470 Gaming Plus
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GBx2 DDR4 3000Mhz (CMR16GX4M2C3000C16W)
Monitor: Samsung LC24F390FHWXXL 24" Curved Monitor (Max Res. 1980x1080)

Components Retained:
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970 4gb OC edition (Red-Black edition)
PSU: Seasonic 620 M12II EVO Fully Modular
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
Cooling System: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid 240
Cabinet: Antec P8

Issue faced:

As Graphics Card is out of warranty, opened it up to re apply thermal paste.

After assembling, when I powered on my system, all the lights inside my cabinet lit up however, the monitors are not showing anything, It was flickering between VGA/HDMI and then went into power saver mode.
I'm pretty sure setup the system perfectly. Not sure why nothing is coming up in the monitor.
I hooked up my previous monitor into the system and even that is not showing any display this time.

I switched the video output from the graphics to the onboard one of the motherboard still no luck.

Any help in this regard will be very helpful.

I will be going back to the store tomorrow to have my build checked.

I am not planning on any overclocking of sorts.

Any suggestions till then would be very helpful.

Thank you. :)

Solution
Hi All,

I found that the issue was with the RAM. It was not compatible with the motherboard or processor.

I went back to the store and got it replaced with a G-Skill Trident Z RGB 8GBx2 3000Mhz kit.

Issue got fixed and am happily gaming like hell... :D
