No display on monitor after using it on Xbox one

Hello.
My son plugged his Xbox one hdmi cord into his computer monitor to play it. Afterwards, he plugged it into the computer to use it. There is no display shown on the monitor and the blue light has long flashes on and off. I've tried using the monitor on another computer and the monitor works fine. But you plug it back into my sons computer and it still has the problem. The Xbox one plays just fine though.
Can anyone please help here?

Hi, was he using the monitor on a different input? (I.e if the pc uses the D-sub and the xbox uses HDMI) Have you tried looking in the menu on the monitor and seeing if you can change the input selection?

if your sons computer is a Newer pc. it may have two video card ports one on the mb and a gpu. depending on the bios and the gpu the mb or the gpu can be set as the first video output. with his pc on try both or all hdmi ports.
