No Display on monitor

Hello i built a new Pc and ran into a problem. When i tried to boot up my pc for the first time, I was disappointment by the no display at all! As if i never connected my dvi d cable at all! It goes straight to sleep mode. I tried to use both a dedicated graphics card and the integrated graphics.

But nothing :c I then tried to install the same gpu into my own rig (this ones for my gf) and it worked just right. when i turn it on the fans spin the cpu fan spins as well, as if it was working normally. But no actual display!

Please help me! ill any good advise i cna get thank you!

the main specs are
asrock h79 pro4 motherboard
intel core i5 4590
8 gigs of adata ram

Yes the cpu fan does indeed spin, and the mobo is AsRock h97M pro4

Try leaving only CPU, CPU fan, one RAM module (test each slot), monitor connected to the onboard, DVD drive, keyboard, mouse and start the board.

hi i tried what you told me as well as a few other things. I used ram from my other working rig and still no signal. i took off the heatsink and re inserted it to make sure it was on right, still no signal. i tried tightening the motherboard power and cpu power. but no signal.

is there anything else i can try? the cmos didn't help me as well.

and say the processor didnt work i would still get an image saying error right? i did insert the cpu correctly tho.

Then try getting an internal speaker, connect it, start the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed and see if any beeps.
If no beeps, then you'd know that it's either a board or CPU issue.

how likely is it for the cpu to fail? wouldn't i still get some sort of error? because i am certain to have installed it correctly.

Very rare with Intel CPUs, but not impossible.
