no display on power key press

hello gurus,

My laptop is DELL INSPIRON N4050. It is not showing any RAM/HDD/Motherboard logo on power key press

since few days back laptop was able to boot, that is, it was showing ram-processor information only (but no operating system screen), whenever i had pressed the power up key. Since few days back- on power key pressed it made a beep sound (not sure whether it beep twice or more) and then nothing happened to my laptop.
so yesterday, i tried to find out the problem over search engine, then i came to know either mother board or ram has became dead.

So i would like to know how can I verify (which part is dead in my laptop now), what has happened to my laptop exactly.
