Question No display on restart windows

What are common reasons this happens?:

On Windows 10 'restart' there is no video signal to monitor and PC has to be force shutdown, when started up again video signal returns

Occasionally when display goes to sleep it won;t wake up and PC has to be force shutdown and started up again - video signal then returns
