No display ONLY after BIOS save

When I save settings in the BIOS on my dads PC the monitor will turn black and then there's no display anymore when it's rebooting. Windows is actually starting up but the screen stays black.
This only happens after applying a BIOS change, doesn't matter which BIOS change and then saving and exit.
It doesn't happen if I save and exit without having changed something.

Here are the specs:
Intel i7 3770k
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
Gigabyte GV-R797OC-3GD (Ghz edition, factory OC at 1100Mhz)
Intel SSD 520 120GB
RECOM 600W PSU
Corsair vengeance 1600Mhz 2x 4GB

BIOS is flashed to latest version.
Tried internal graphics on and off and PEG enabled and disabled.

Anyone know a solution?

Yes, it is a problem. I have to reset my PC everytime my PC comes out of the BIOS. Because the screen stays black even in Windows.

Sorry for the necro, but I am having the exact same problem. Only real difference is I am on a ud5h board. It also happened during the second (not the first...) reboot during a fresh Windows 7 install. I made a post about it myself in the mobo section but I figured I would bump this to see if you ever found a fix, or if anyone might have new info.

Regarding my bios, it is version F14 and both F15s are beta so I am not eager to jump right to bios flashing.
