No display output

I have gtx 1060.when powering on the pc,the graphics card runs at full speed at idle.But nothing is displayed in the monitor.I tried connecting the monitor to the motherboard Hdmi output.Still nothing.What’s wrong???

Are you able to boot into BIOS or does BIOS not even get displayed?

Also connecting the HDMI cable to the motherboard won't work unless you have an APU.
