no display while starting PC sometimes

sometimes, I don't get the display while starting my pc. but everything goes fine when restarted. on rare occasions, I have to restart twice to get the display.

How to fix this?

how is your monitor connected? when the screen is black do you hear things load in the background(programs, windows)?
if you do its probably to the cable connecting the monitor, had a similar problem it turned out it was the DP cable. Change cable or just input on your card if you got multiple.
