So this is my 3rd pc build, its a cheap one that I am just going to mess around with. Here are the specs on it,

cpu: amd ryzen 5 2600
mobo: msi x470 gaming plus
ram: corsair vengeance ddr4 1x8 gb 2666mhz
ssd: kingston 240gb ssd
psu:evga 600 BQ
fan:cooler master hyper t2

So I have it all together, when I press the power lights go on, fans are all spinning but I get nothing showing up on my monitor. On the mobo i see the the vga light is on right above the mobo power connector, I am assuming this is an error light? And I feel stupid to ask but would this be because this cpu and mobo do not have integrated graphics? I have tried looking around but havn't found a definitive answer. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Looks like I will have to upgrade my main pc graphics card and put the old one in this. :)

Thanks for the quick reply!

You need a discreet PCI graphics card if you want a display with that system. None of the Ryzen CPUs have integrated graphics except the 2200G and 2400g, as mentioned above.

You want a definitive answer, there it is. You need some kind of graphics card. And I wouldn't count on using anything terribly high end, because that BQ EVGA unit is not a great example of what a PSU should be. It will work, but I wouldn't want to run anything bigger than an RX 570 or GTX 1060 with it, and don't be surprised if it gives up the ghost within a year under any kind of demanding use.
