Hi,

I've changed case and PSU for my system recently. Now my problem is that during boot, I get "No DVI Signal" error and USB (tried front case USB and motherboard USB, neither worked) is not working.

I've had dvi signal problem for the past few months, but usually PC reboot used to help (now nothing I can think of helps...).

I tried:

  • ■ Using iGPU. Didn't help, still no signal
    ■ Tried switching RAM sticks. DIdn't help
    ■ Booting without RAM. Heard no beeps, but PC turned off in a few seconds (don't know if this indicates bad motherboard)
    ■ Tried different monitor. No help here.
    ■ Tried different DVI cable, tried VGA cable.
    ■ Tried my monitor on other PC, it worked. (So my monitor is working)

I just noticed that both my GPU and iGPU has DVI dual-link ports while I'm using DVI single-link cable. Can that be a problem? (though I used single-link cable with that GPU before and it worked...)

Tried removing the video card and used onboard GPU. Didnt' help.

PSU: Corsair RM750i (bought it only few weeks ago)

If the system is not booting again, I'd take it apart and reseat all the connections. Usually when there is no beeping without RAM that points to a motherboard issue but since you changed the case, you may not have connected something properly, so go over that again before trying a different motherboard.

Since my patience was running really thin 😀 and I didn't want to spend any more time trying to figure out what was wrong...I took it to a PC repair shop. Just got a call from the guy that was working on my PC, telling me that it's working now...

The problem is till unclear (to him and to me):

Basically he took it all apart, like @hang-the-9 suggested, cleaned ram sockets and put it all back together. And..it's working.
