My speakers with a bass system is plugged into my monitor (Dell Alienware AW3418DW. This is an ultrawide with NO built-in speakers). The monitor is plugged into my GPU through displayport and also connected to the motherboard via USB.

(Not entirely sure what my speaker's model is. I could not even figure out the brand based on the logo)

The Speaker obviously works, but the bass is very loud and I want to turn it down.

In Windows 10, there is no Equalizer setting or Bass setting within Sound Settings > Enhancements. The only things I see are unrelated, e.g. 'Room Correction' and 'Loudness Adjustment'.

Is it because I shouldn't have plugged in the speaker to my monitor? I should directly plug into the motherboard?
Does it mean my speaker's bass cannot be adjusted?
Will it work if I download a 3rd party equalizer for Windows 10?
