Question No FPS change after CPU/GPU upgrade

Hey guys

I recently upgraded my GPU from a RX580 4gb to a RTX 2070 8gb and my CPU from a i5-8400 to a i7-9900.

my FPS in PUBG is 62 max . It was that before these upgrades so no change even though I have 2 more cores/threads and a better GPU.

could my monitor be my limiting factor ?

Yea on the 60hz not sure about the vsync is that a monitor setting

Disable/Turn Off vsync in the games settings. Also be sure to disable vsync in gpu control panel.

You do need a better monitor, though.

Well I went and got an ACER nitro series 280hz gaming monitor and I’m still stuck at 62 FPS.
Vsync is off.
Any ideas?

Fixed my issue …

changed the FPS CAP in PUBG. From unlimited to 300 and now I have 150+ FPS

not sure if it was the new GPU/CPU or new 280hz monitor but glad to have gained almost 100fps
