I have found out that my pc was bottlenecked because of my cpu ( amd fx-8120 ) So i started overclock, took a full guide on how to do it safely. so i did all that and then finally realised there was literally no fps change. So i was all worried then i checked that you can overclock the gpu too. ( i am noob so didnt know that before ) so i did that too but still no fps change! what is happening.. i would really like to get an answer or help. Also one more thing , i have no fps change when change graphics from high to low or low to high. So what can i do here? i did create notes for myself to check fps changes i tried checking from the same location in fortnite if you need further info please do ask me.

What was your FPS before and how much of an overclock did you achieve? How did you prove your cpu was a bottleneck?

Let’s say you get 30fps and your cpu is the bottleneck. If you overclock your cpu by 10% the very best FPS increase you will see is 3 (33fps). That is best case as I wouldn’t expect % overclock not to equal the same performance gains but I was keeping it simple, in reality you might see 31-32 fps.

More info needed. Whats your overclocked frequency of your cpu now? Whats your gpu? How much did your overclock your gpu? What games are you testing?

Seems like VSync or another frame limiting setting. Could be another kind of bottleneck too. I don't know your specs

Download Unigine Valley > Extreme HD > Test again with and without overclock. It benchmarks different scenarios and gives an average score so it's easy to compare them.
