Question no GPU will install drivers

So I had a 1060 3gb for a long time, eventually one day I found out the geforce experience wasnt running so I tried to turn it on and it told me there was an error. So I went to support from Nvidia and they told to me to remove the display adapter from my device manager, I did that and then my GPU wouldnt install drivers at all. I just got a 1660 cuz I thought it was a bad gpu but it still wont install drivers AT ALL. I just spent $280 on this thing and I want to get it running. Anything at all? I have gone to another thread here and someone had the same problem but it didnt work and its old so I am just asking again for something fresh.



EDIT: IT HAS BEEN FIXED BY REINSTALLING WINDOWS

full system spec? include make and model of the psu

Its a Dell Inspiron 5680, I got it because at the time I had no idea how to build a PC and just wanted a "gaming PC." I think the model is "D460AM-03" Its got a big "DELL" logo on the side as well.

gtx 1660 XC
16gb RAM (RAM forgotten)
128 Gb m.2 ssd
1tb hdd
