Question No graphics card detected!

Hi there! I’m trying to get my gtx 650 ti to display graphics to my monitor, but I cannot, and have to use the motherboards onboard graphics in order to get any display. I have an hp motherboard with an i5 2300 as processor. Want to make this a low end machine, but cannot get any display from the gpu. Nvidia does not detect it, and I’ve tried going into bios to manually switch it to “PEG” which doesn’t do anything. Any help would be great!!

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? Make and model of your motherboard?

I have an hp motherboard
Are you working with an HP prebuilt? BIOS version for your motherboard would help us two fold as well.
