No Gsync option

Hello,

I have a Nvidia GTX 980 and an Asus ROG swift pg278q monitor. I have the latest drivers for windows 8.1 64 bit and I do not see an option in the nvidia control panel for Gsync. Aren't I supposed to have Gsync?

What sort of monitor connection are you using? G-Sync is only supported on DisplayPort at the moment, that might be your problem.

Im using the Displayport 1.2 cable that came with the monitor.

Now I got the Gsync option to pop up, but then the color on the button below turns red for a second in game, but then stays white.

What button are you referring to? And how did you get the G-Sync option to appear?

The LED on the right hand bottom of the monitor that is usually white. I got it to turn red for a second or two in game, then it goes back to white. I run the game with 144 Hz just fine, but I can't get it to stay red for Gsync.

I don't have the ROG but I do have the AOC so will try to help, did you go to the NVidia Control Panel/Manager 3d Settings/Vertical Sync set to G-sync and you're done, also don't forget to right click on desktop/Adjust screen resolution/advanced/monitor tab and change to 144hz.
