i have had my pc for a year or so and there have not been any problems till now, i can start up the machine and all is fine, once i have opened a game and play for about 20 mins then i get an error "no hdmi signal" my pc is still on but i have no screen. when i change my gfx card to something older (smaller) i dont have the problem at all i can play games for days on end and never have the problem, i originally thought the gfx card is faulty but took it in ran tests and its perfect, is it possible that my power supply is faulty? please any help will be appreciated

yes everything is updated, took it to the shop they ran a test on the card alone then the card and machine and it work perfectly till i came home used all my peripharals etc so some of me thinks that it could be the PSU? like either its faulty or not enough?

Did they test using HDMI and your cord. Try switching the ends of the cords that are plugged in. Plug the end in your computer that was plugged in to your gfx card . It could be a bad XXX lease on the cord. This can happen with TV's a lot. Forgot what the lease is called though. If it fixes it then switch cords. If it fixes it temporarily it could be a bad port on your card.

Have you thought it could be the monitor? My buddy just had a monitor go out in a similar fashion. I think it was a hanspree. Something a little older.

nope not that as i have used multiple different monitors. like i said before as soon as i change the gfx card then i have no problems.
