Hello guys, so i just found out that my gpu was broken after 3 years of service (RIP), so i removed it from the mobo and i plugged in the hdmi cable to the hdmi port in the mobo and it seems that windows is not detecting the TV sound output.
When I click on playback devices, it says that Digital Audio (HDMI) is not plugged in.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Solution
The only thing I can think of, is if maybe the hdmi audio isnt enabled on the driver level.
I know Nvidia graphics drivers have options for the HDMI audio, and it can be disabled from Nvidia control panel.

But since you are using the integrated graphics (Is it Intel btw?), I dont know where the setting is, or if there even is one.

Do you have the latest drivers? Is it Intel, AMD? Which generation/model?

I assume you already uninstalled the discrete graphics drivers, and installed drivers for the integrated graphics. If not, you should do that asap.

so i just installed the integrated graphics driver (a google search did the trick). didn't think that it was that simple. Thanks for the response my good sir.

Also, sometimes you need to change the audio SOURCE via:

right-click audio icon (in system tray)->
Playback Devices->...

It could for example be set to "Realtek..." (the onboard audio) when you need to select "HDMI..." (from motherboard or video card as applicable).
