No icon

Hello,
there is no printer icon on my desktop...i cannot print anything

Have you installed the printer drivers? More often than not the printer drivers do not put an icon on the desktop. If you have installed the printer drivers can you print from a program like notepad?

windows 7 doesnt put an icon on the desktop

you dont need the icon to print--however you try to print will open the printer automatically

test if printer is installed by typing something in notepad then telling it to print or right click an image and use the wizard

the printer icon is at--start --devices and printers but dont know if you can short cut it to desktop but as i said you can print without it
