for a long time n ow ive had issues with things i plug into my computer i think i recently noticed its effecting my gpu too and i cant even use my new headset i spent 120 on... the problem is that things are always broken it seems when connected, like my razer keyboard works fine but it doesnt show up in my device manager or i cant use razer synapse, same with my mouse. now i just got my hyperx cloud2's and i cant even use them they dont pop up when i plug them in with the usb adapter. for my gpu issue i noticed i cant change any settings with it in my control panel its like it isnt even plugged in there are no options for it there. i thiink whatever is causing this will make my headset work i spent all my money on. ive had this issue for a very long time since i got my razer mouse a few years ago and ive had the problem with everything ive gotten since then so ive just dealed with factory settings since i cant change anything, ive upgraded nearly everything with my computer ive gotten a new motherboard, cpu, and gpu + all my peripherals are high end. the only things i havent gotten new of is my hard drive and ram, so the issue is probably not from my ram so im guessing it comes from my hard drive any ideas to fix my pc?

Solution

Well that could be part of the problem. What exactly did you upgrade? Also it might be worth downloading memtest86+ and running it for a few hours to test the ram. (it runs outside windows as you will boot off it on a CD/DVD/USB)

yes all of them have drivers up to date, plus the hyperx headset doesnt even have drivers you plug it into your pc and go and my gpu isnt being detected amd control center and my gpu is installed in my pc it cant be a driver issue

the problem has been going on since i got the pc originally, ive upgraded everything in my pc including my psu, so that cant be it (besides my ram and hard drive.)

Good to know. Did you do a fresh installation of windows when you upgraded?

no i didnt do anything i just enjoyed my fps improvement in my games lol

okay i was thinking about just wiping my hard drive in a few days because i have some gaming stuff scheduled for tomorrow and the day after with my team, but i will get memtest right now and start running it

I fresh installation of Windows could help especially since you upgraded the computer without doing a fresh installation (changing cpus as the could have different instruction set support, and motherboards as different chipsets and other IC's that need totally different divers.)
