No Image new graphicscard, error code 97

Hi,

Today I installed a new Asus R9 290 graphics card, but the screen doesnt get a signal. My motherbord (AsRock 970 Extreme 4) gives error code 97 which means pcie problem, I tried switching to another pcie port but still no signal. Any help would be great!

Make sure you're plugging the VGA / HDMI / DVI into the graphics card, not the motherboard, I found this out the hard way.

if first PC-E Slot have problem maybe second slot don't work

Do you have the latest bios and have you mad sure power connectors are fully plugged into gpu? What psu do you have?
