Hey guys,

I bought this monitor as part of a build a couple weeks back. It worked flawlessly in the beginning. However, after I get up to get breakfast and return after 3 minutes, there was a blue screen that said "HDMI / MHL-2 No Input". I've tried plugging it in different ports and changing the signals to no avail. It doesn't work when plugged into the motherboard either. All cables are plugged in properly.

Strangely enough, the new monitor works when I tried to plug it into an older computer of mine. Hooking up one of my old Compaq monitors to the new build seems to work as well. I'm really confused as to what could be the problem. All of the parts seemed to be plugged in correctly. After all, I have been able to use this build for a couple weeks now. My old computer that works with the Asus monitor doesn't have a graphics card installed. The GPU in the new build shouldn't be the problem since I can still play games.

Here are some specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor
MOBO: ASRock B85 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card
PSU: Rosewill Green 630W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
New monitor: Asus VN248H or VN248H-P
Old monitor: Compaq 1825

Thanks for reading.

Since he's still playing games using the other monitor I'd say it's on.

*This is pretty baffling. I can't think of any other tests other than:

1) Get system working with the Intel iGPU via HDMI (R9-290 physically removed) and run for long enough to determine if things are stable or not.

2) run MEMTEST www.memtest.org for a full pass

3) Contact Gigabyte tech support

Both the monitor and computer stays on. The monitor reverts to a black screen shortly after displaying the no input message. However, the LED light on the monitor indicates it's still on.

I've tried other solutions including checking if the time/date is correct in the BIOS then booting into safe mode and retrying the Asus monitor as well as connecting it to the motherboard (as previously mentioned). It still doesn't work. I will attempt contact Gigabyte tech support as well.

I appreciate the help.
