No Input on Monitor (Just built computer)

So I built my computer and followed the correct steps, my computer boots up fine but then the monitor shows its Acer screen then a minute later No Signal pops up for 5 seconds then the power button turns orange. I have a friend who is good at this and he thinks it is my ram, I have DDR4 ram but it wont fit in tightly I can pull it out. Please Help, and tell me if it is my ram or not


I have a HDMI and White cord plugged into my computer (not my graphics card cause I am test booting) but even if I do plug it into the graphics, the same error.

Is my ram compatible?

It's possibly the RAM. You shouldn't be able to simply pull it out......the latches should hold it firmly in place if it's truly secured. Ensure the notches line up....it may take a little more force to full seat them than you'd expect.

What is your PSU also?

When you're attaching to onboard graphics, is your GPU installed? If using the onboard graphics initially to test, do not have the GPU installed.

RAM is fine for that motherboard. Not sure why it is not fitting properly. If RAM was not compatible, the BIOS would not even POST.

You said the computer boots up fine...can you explain what you see last before the screen goes blank? It may be simply an output issue. Sometimes the GPU will default to a particular output (such as DVI). Check your GPU manual to see if that is the case and how to change the default.

RAM is definitely a possibility then. Try just a single 8GB module installed.

So, I fully added the ram (it needed pushed in harder), and now I can see like a clock on the motherboard and a blinking red light but the problem is I still have the No Signal Error. And to answer some questions it boots up the Acer Screen, then is a blackscreen, then 5 second of No Input then it just goes back to black

No I can't, as I stated earlier I can only see a No Signal message about a minute after bootup and then just a black screen

Ok - unplug all components so that the only components plugged into the motherboard are:
1. The cpu and heat sync (keep the fan headers plugged into the heat sync, don't unplug those)
2. One stick of memory.
3. Power supply
4. Obviously leave the front panel io connectors that go to the power switches on the case plugged in.
Even unplug the power supply cables from the hard drive and optical drives. EVERYTHING
Unplug your graphics card, take it out of the build and plug your monitor into the onboard graphics, the graphics ports on the motherboard.
Can you get to the bios now?

Should I unplug the Audio port, the +p led and -p led, power rw, 24 pin and 8 pin. Also what about my case fans

Also by motherboard ports you mean the io shield ports.

Could this also be caused by the cpu or most likely not?

So I saw another person post this topic and someone said to build it outside the box so it could be clearer, it still didn't work but I got a lot clearer photos and I sent a email to MSI

So, I checked and I saw 3 pins in the corner that were bent so I am going to get a replacement motherboard (I think it happened during shipping). I can't contact newegg or msi right now to due it being new years. I'm glad I found the problem but I am sad because I wanted to use it before school started back up 🙁
