Hi all,
Since last night, for no reason that I can fathom, my computer has decided that on startup it does not want to connect to the internet.
It connects to the homenetwork (it is using a hard connection) but says there is no internet access. No other computer (wireless or wired) has this issue. I have reset all routers and modems, but no luck.
I did find out that by uninstalling/reinstalling the lan driver it connects instantly. I have to do this everytime I turn my computer on though. I have even used the installation disk for my motherboard to reinstall the driver, but this is not permemnant.
As for ym network I have a broadband modem provided by comcast. A wireless router connected to that (these two are in the basement) an ethernet switcher in my room which is connected to another router. The computer with the problem is connected to the last router, but so is every other computer on the network.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong would be great!
