No Internet connection for even when the Network adapter i..

My machine is configured to run Win NT4.0 and Broadcom Network adapter driver
is added, binded and enabled but it doesnot connect to the Internet. I have
setup the proxy setting as required for the test lab. It had been refreshed
many times but there is no response. My machine doesnot show IP address
either when i tried IPCONFIG from the command prompt. I am using DHCP to
automatically generate IP address.

Any help is appreciated

Check Event Viewer for errors.
