I have a rather strange problem after I upgraded to Windows 10. Each time I start my computer I have no internet connection through my lan cable. The wireless connection works (on my phone), and I have no wireless adapter on my pc, so I can't check if it works there. I have tried using the troubleshoot software, but it gives me the answer that it can't get a response from the DNS server or something along those lines. I've tried several suggestions one of them being to set my ethernet to automatically recieve DNS and IP adress. That does not fix anything. I've tried flushing my DNS. That doesn't work either. I have found one fix so far, and that is to deactivate my ethernet connection through Control Panel > Network and Internet > Networkconnections, then reactivate it. Sometimes I have to do it several times, but it works eventually.

As I said in the last sentences, the internet does work if I do this a few times, but it's getting annoying having to do this each time I turn my pc on. Does anyone have a permanent fix for this? Has anyone had a similar issue? Any help is appriciated. Thanks!

I ran into a similar problem when I ran the Win10 upgrade, except that my machine wouldn't see the e'net adapter at all. I went back to 8.1, the e'net adapter returned to full functionality (eventually, after a couple of cold boots).

Re-ran the Win10 upgrade, same thing, back to 8.1 again, back in business. I read multiple reports of others encountering the same thing, recommendation is to run a "full" Win 10 install, meaning reinstalling all apps, what a PITN.

But that's what I'm gonna do the next time I have time (and it isn't an absolutely beautiful day outside!)
