[SOLVED] no internet connection

After I finally got my new built to post, I enter the bios and check my boot priority. I then did a fresh install of Windows 10 without a connection to the internet. I went through the process of installing the OS, based on a limited setup. I completed the install and tried to connect to the internet for updates. the connection failed with the system telling me there no properly installed network adapter. I tried various to connect to the internet. But no avail. So I'm asking what did I do wrong? I have my other computer on a wired connection to a modem/router which works fine. Any advice will be welcome

download network driver on another working pc, put it on a usb
