One bad room in a hard wired network. Cannot get a Lan connection in this room, looking for advice on how to resolve and gain a connection.
Setup as follows: comcast modem : linksys router : 8 port gigabit switch: patch cable to wall plate: 60+ ft run of cat 6 : wall plate : patch cable

The signal to the room has been spotty at best, sometimes working, other times not. Typically has been wired to a Blu Ray player. Blu-ray will often stated "network cable disconnected " when it actually is.
I did the following to troubleshoot : change patch cables, change location of origin to elsewhere on switch and directly on a router Lan port instead of switch, plugged a laptop into the end of cable, still no connection to network via the cable. Picked up a cheap 8 light cable tester, each length of patch cable and the long cable run all show green.

Any ideas on why there is no connection to Lan or how to troubleshoot further?

Solution
The tester will only show connectivity - not signal quality. Intermittent connection implies to me that something is loose.

On both ends of the 60+ft run: Access the ethernet cable port. Check that all of the wires are punched in correctly and tight. Make sure that the twisting is intact as much as possible right up to the punchdowns.
