So when I connect via wifi, the internet works fantastic, but with an ethernet connection I get "no internet" though the actual connection seems to be fine. Connecting computer to modem with ethernet works like a charm, but going through the router causes problems.
Specs:
ISP: Comcast @105mbps
Modem: Motorola SB6120
Router: Asus RT-N66U
PC: ASUS P8P67-M PRO motherboard which has Realtek LAN
Cable: some cat5e
Favorite taco meat: Chicken
What I've tried:
Disable/enable wired connection. All sorts of disable/enable scenarios with router and modem.
Connected directly to modem, works fine.
Connected via wifi, works fine.
ipconfig /release then /renew.
malware and viruscan
Different ports on the router
Disable ipv6 and only use v4
update drivers
I'm not really sure what more I can do! I haven't had a problem in the past, just with this new router. Any suggestions?
