I was sure it would have the screw but no.
I don't have any screws that small.
My motherboard has a panel that screws down over the m2 drive with a sticky pad (presumably heat dissipation)
Anyway can I install the drive without the screw and assume the sticky pad and panel will hold it in place?
I can't even find the screw on eBay or anywhere.

Also, have you consulted your motherboard user manual regarding the proper installation of an M.2 SSD under said heatsink. It's possible they don't intend for there to be a screw in the standoff since the sticky pad and locking mechanism for the heatsink likely hold it in place just fine.

The standoff screw should come with the motherboard, not the SSD.

Thanks for replying. Update, I noticed the screws that hold the m.2 ssd plate down are the same thread as the ssd retaining screw so I thought I could secure the ssd and put one screw in the plate until I can get another. Anyway I screwed the ssd down until I noticed it was bending so I stopped. I've probably buggered it but now I need a standoff. Anyone know what the thread size is?
