No monitor, KB or mouse after power on.

Hi, my mates just got a new PC and we put this together, no our first time so we know whats is what and what goes where. Bu the issue we got is a stubborn one... First boot everything is fine and dandy, installed the winupdates, gpu driver etc. Then on reboot after an update, the ligths come on, fans spinning, but the keyboard, mouse and monitor is not working. We've reset cmos, checked the ram 1 by 1 and reseated every power connector. So far the pc boots fine in 2/10 reboots. Im starting to think its a bad part, or the psu is too small, but thats strange since it boots fine sometimes. It does not charge a phone from usb when connecting it to the back usb and the pc on. Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like you need to go up a "beep code" learning curve for whatever make and model of computer you're using. The beeps and/or flashing lights will tell you more diagnostic information about your problem. You would also want to run the vendor's basic hardware diagnostics, like whether your memory or motherboard is deemed bad.

It does not charge a phone from usb when connecting it to the back usb and the pc on.

That doesn't mean anything. Could be the USB port or cable isn't designed to carry power to a phone, or not under some circumstances. Couldn't tell you why but I've seen "issues" in the real world with laptops. Diagonse your power issues by some other means than plugging in USB devices.

Thanks for the respons, problem with this mobo is that the codes it should give out, is tied to the screen. And if it boots with the screen and usb devices it does not give any error codes and goes to windows. So when booting up, the monitor give out all the boot/error codes etc. And since the monitor wont power on we cant see them. No indication on the mobo for errors. We got it booted up now, in windows, everything is running smoothly, all drivers are good to go, components showing up as they should etc. But as soon as we reboot, the screen, keyboard and mouse goes dark, fans go off, then on and the pc reboots w/o the screen or usb devices.

We'll keep at it tomorrow and see what we can figure out.
