No monitor signal after changing psu.

Hi all,

I've changed my psu and now there is no signal to my monitor. When I power it up all the fans work I get a light at the bottom of my motherboard (yellow) the ram error light (red) flashes up for a second while turning on. Please can someone help with this. Thanks.

Hi,

Does your gpu require a 6 or 8 pin connection and if theres 2 both have to be used.

Hi I didn't mean to put that as the solution. I requires two 6 and they are both plugged in and there are light on as well.

O.K. if you have the manual check to see what the lit led means,mine has these too but without knowing which mobo you have its hard to tell what is going on. You can try to reseat your graphics card and ram and see if that changes anything. You never said to why you changed your psu,if it blew then there could be damage to other components. If all checks out and you have a multimeter you can check you psu,instructions can be found on the following link.

You can by a cheap psu tester but they only show a complete failure and mybe misleading as the leds will still light if theres enought power to lit them but that does not mean the psu is working correctly. Post back if you still can`t find the problem.
