[SOLVED] No monitor signal from cold-boot until I press "Restart" button?

Monitor no signal from cold boot but the system unit is running fine with rgb on.. I have to press Restart button everytime I have to bootup.. help?

I'm only using one monitor with a displayport cable.. I'm pretty sure the cable is tightly fit in the socket..
Whenever I turn on from cold boot the pc lights turn on and the fans spin but no signal on monitor display.. It only works if I press the restart button once every time I start my computer?


Did anyone experience this? Any workaround?

Specs: Ryzen 5 3600
16 gb ram 3200 mhz G-skill Trident Z
GTX 1070 Gigabyte Windforce

GPU in pcie slot properly and locked?
GPU power leads attached properly?
Try a bios reset?
Any bios error codes?
What motherboard?
Is the ram kit listed on the motherboard memory QVL?

Yeah the GPU is properly seated,
b450 mortar max mobo
haven't tried the bios reset yet as it may open a whole new can of worms I'm afraid
maybe this has something to do with the DisplayPort Cable? should I replace it?

Yes - try a new Monitor cable.
Is the monitor switched to Display Port?

Have you tried a new monitor cable?
Try your monitor on another PC.
Try another monitor on your PC.
