no monitor signal

I just got a cyberpowerpc gamer ultra 2204 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=83-229-616&FM=1
And my hp2009m monitor says no signal for vga or dvi. I think its vga only because it uses the blue plug. The back of the computer has two vga ports, but neither are picked up by the monitor. Do i need a new monitor or a dvi Cable splitter?

You need a computer that works! Try it with another monitor; if that one does the same thing then the odds are that there is a problem with the PC's output. If not, we'll diagnose from there.

Just wanted to make sure you use the right I/O ports for a monitor. But it could be a faulty cable, and I would try a different cable first, if you have one lying around. Then I would try a different monitor. If it still doesn't work, then I would blame the graphics card, and see if the drivers are correctly installed. Check here for NVIDIA. IF STILL no luck, then I would return the entire computer.

Let us know what you find out first though.
