So, I recently did an update to Win 7. Now there is no search bar in the Star Menu... witch is SHIT. I am amusing MS are doing this on purpose to get people to use there Bing Bar, but I am not really wanting to do that.. is there a way to get it back?

Ok, fixed it. I had a bit of a look in the 'Turn Windows features on or off' bit. there is an option called 'Windows Search' that was un ticked. I turned it on, re-booted, and now have my search bar back. 😀
I just did an update on my Win7 system (Win 7 Ultimate), and the search bar is still there. Sp apparently this is not across the board.

Try this (from Windows7forums):
Right click on the task bar and select properties, click on the start menu tab and then click on customize. At the bottom you'll see a button that says default settings, click that and it'll set everything in the start menu back to default.

If that doesn't work, try this:
Go to Control Panel\Programs and Features\Turn Windows features on or off, and enable Indexing service and Windows search
